Zenit St Petersburg won the Uefa Cup in Manchester with a 2-0 victory over Rangers. It was a stylish performance from the Russian side who kept up their favourites tag going into the final.
The Scotland side fought hard but second-half strikes from Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zurianov sealed the match in the favour of Zenit. Rangers once were not adventurous and always looked to play on the break. And this loss means Rangers wait for an European title continues for 36 years.
